While days are warm, nights remain cold, requiring warm clothing. There are slight chances of light showers as mountain weather is always unpredictable.

Responsible tourism in Parvati Valley means respecting local customs, and managing waste, particularly by bringing non-biodegradable trash back out. Avoid loud music, respect privacy, and ask before taking photos.

How to reach

Airports - The most common airport used for this journey is Delhi (Especially for international tourists). People may also come from Chandigarh.

1. Reach Bhuntar/Kasol Bus Stand

Volvo buses from Delhi/Chandigarh stop at Bhuntar, sometimes at kasol as well.

2. Drive/Bus to Barshaini/Kalgha Village

From Bhuntar or Kasol, you can take a taxi or local bus to Barshaini Dam or directly to Kalga Village. Road access is available up to Kalga; however, in case of unexpected weather conditions, there may be a short 20-minute walk required to reach the village. It’s a gentle, scenic trail with clear signboards.

Porters are available if you’re carrying heavy bags. 🌿

3. Village Entry

Once you reach the top, Kalga opens up into a peaceful village surrounded by forests, cafés, and homestays.

DEVIKA'S STORY

A few years ago, I had a good job and lived in this same mountain village but I was falling apart.

I dreaded waking up. I stayed in bed for hours, exhausted, hopeless. My body felt like it was turning against me. extreme pain, emotional swings. Eventually: PCOS. Thyroid.

And I hate taking medicines.

So I turned to Yoga, Ashrams, Sanskrit villages, Ayurvedic living, and years of learning directly from teachers rooted in Indic wisdom.

Not for certificates. Because I needed healing.

I kept testing and refining until I found a system that worked—again and again, especially when life became difficult.

That is what I share here.

Not from theory. From living it.

That is why I call you to the mountains—

to share the same tools that helped me come back to myself.
